This is an event worth checking out: Big City Moms Biggest Baby Shower. I attended with a super pass (which I recommend if you can buy one) when I was pregnant and ended up winning a photo session with Leshem Loft and a Phil & Ted’s traveller. Plus I brought home great gift bags!! You will meet tons of vendors, receive great gift bags and get to eat great food with great hosts. You can never go wrong with Big City Moms, their events are the best in NYC. The hostesses make you feel welcome and there are always great people attending plus you win fabulous prizes!!

Someone gave up their seat on the subway for me today…

It was my first experience being offered a seat on mass transit because I am pregnant. This nice gentleman looked up from his paper and apologized for not noticing that I was pregnant. He promptly offered his seat to me after apologizing. I was on my way to 42nd Street which is an express stop from my apartment. We were passing 50th Street so I declined his offer since I had comfortably gotten myself settled holding a bar.
It was nice to know that I am finally looking pregnant and not just fat. I had always assumed that people would not give up their seats and have not held out hope that I would be offered a seat on the subway or bus. This has renewed my faith in New Yorkers and hopefully will be offered a seat again soon. Thank you to the kind gentleman on the subway, it was very appreciated.
